BOULDER, Colo. (Dec. 12, 2016) – InterNACHI® Founder Nick Gromicko is now the new Executive Director of the National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI).
After nearly 30 years in operation, NAHI filed Articles of Dissolution effective October 20. With its reorganization, Gromicko is now at the helm.
“This is a great change for all home inspectors,” said Gromicko. “NAHI was a small outfit that,
although long established, just wasn’t able to serve the needs of its members. That, in turn,”
he continued, “did a disservice to the home-buying consumer who hired a NAHI inspector.”
InterNACHI® has been involved in lawsuits and legal motions regarding NAHI since
September, with NAHI failing to answer InterNACHI’s lawsuits against it, or outright losing in
court, after using the backing and resources of the American Society of Home Inspectors
(ASHI). InterNACHI® prevailed at every turn.
“My ultimate goal,” said Gromicko, “is not to decimate other home inspector associations, as
has been said of me by various parties. My goal has always been to bring all home inspectors
under one roof, so to speak, so that they can receive the best training, benefits and support
available in the industry. Now,” he said, “NAHI members will reap far more rewards than they
ever did previously. I’ll make sure of that.”
